We were invited to spend an afternoon at Wild Beer Co at Jessop House to try out a few dishes from their tapas style menu along with some beer pairings; and well it opened my eyes quite a bit to the wonderful world of craft beers. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert (even though I took enough notes to become one), but I certainly learnt a lot – and even enjoyed my beers too!

If you know Cheltenham, you’ll know The Daffodil. It’s got to be the most well-known restaurant in the town, and rightly so. In the 1920’s The Daffodil was a cinema – or a picture house as they called it back then – and still to this day, it’s retained all the glitz and glamour of a bygone era.

Back in February, I suggested a girls’ day out. After looking through our diaries for a Saturday the three of us could do, we finally found a date in June. We knew our afternoon would involve a spot of wine tasting and lunch at The Grape Escape, we just had to wait for quarter of the year to pass first.
