Local Eat Treats #17 Cheltenham’s Hidden Gem for a Sarnie

Earlier this year I attended a bread making course which was taught by Dom Salter of The Sandwich Box in Cheltenham. You can read about my bread making exploits here. I’d never heard of The Sandwich Box before that day, but I knew that if the bread I took home with me (made with my own fair hands with lots of instruction and help) was good enough to devour all in one sitting, then Dom’s must be out of this world. Unfortunately for us weekday workers, The Sandwich Box is only open Monday-Friday and caters for those who are in the town centre (it’s right opposite the Town Hall); so I’ve had to wait all these months (five – and yes I’ve been counting) for a day off that was void of any plans at lunch time.

Eating Out and About #10 An Evening at Chambers in Globe Village

When we visit London we always stay in Mile End, and as we drive home we pass through a lovely little place (unofficially) called Globe Village. We always look at the wonderful eateries and say ‘we must come to eat here next time’.
